and Math Instructor:
Mary Padgett A look at the
dynamic symmetry that occur in nature and a discussion on how math duplicates
this symmetry to make art. The class
will discuss, and construct the golden rectangle, various tessellations and
more. Something for all ages. This is a
sixteen-hour course consisting of eight two-hour sessions over a four-week
period. The fee for this course is

Review Instructor: William Padgett The purpose
of this course is to review, reinforce and expand basic Algebra skills. This class is ideal for students going on
to Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus as well as those preparing to take the Algebra Challenge
test. The following will be covered: Axioms of
the Real Numbers Equations
and Inequalities Graphing and
Solving Systems of Equations and Inequalities Polynomials
(factor and foil!) Rational
Expressions Roots and
Radicals Graphing and
Solving Quadratics The course
will be flexible and adapt to the needs of the students. This is a

Instruction: Students can
prepare for the next school year by reviewing and mastering skills for
their grade level. They can also preview
the subject they are taking in the Fall. Students
taking summer courses at the junior college can get tutoring. The summer math courses are fast paced and
a tutor can be very helpful. Also,
students who are taking online courses such as those offered by BYU
independent study can find a tutor at Amathoasis. Amathoasis tutors are familiar with the BYU statistics, college
algebra, geometry and other many other BYU courses. If you
register before June 1 there is an early registration discount. These sessions must be used before
September 1.
